Hi ya fellow pilots -

regarding the no.1 damage type in the damage fields I posted a little time ago: I just start a new mission, cruisin along in a F-86 Sabrejet, when I get hit by a SAM in the first minute because the damn thing has no chaff cartridges. Anyways, I had external tanks, but then I noticed they were gone and after checking the messages it hit me which damage I missed. So, #1 is probably "EXTERNAL FUEL TANK DAMAGED". It would make sense too, since the next ones being "fuel tank leaking, fuel lines severed...ect".

CAG:Sorry about not getting back to ya, unfortunately a chronic illness leaves me with not much desire to socialize. I posted what little bit of info I had as a thank you for all the info I've gotten from the FA community in general. If things improve for me, I'd like to resume testing some day whether for the group or myself cause I do enjoy it and I'm awfully persistent Wink

Long Live FA!!

Bob

Not the exe, the PT.

Rob did the damage breakdown for the PT files and posted it on Zephyrnet so I invited him to join here so he could help us expand our knowledge of the PT file to aid Kap in the utmost realeastic FM possible...

Thanks guys for the friendly welcome - it's much appreciated. They'll have to pry this Fighterstick from my cold dead hands, heh. Smile

I've been tinkering around with this for a while, and it does seem that the fuel system is the most often hit, with engines and controls tied for second. As for fuel, I was wondering if there could be some sort of fuel fire? Make it more realistic.

Yes there is a 'fuel lines are on fire' damage warning message, right before you explode!
