Post subject: NEED Opinions - Japanese F-2 Shape... Reply with quote
I need some opinions here folks...

Do you think I should make a new F-2 Shape from my new F-16 to encompass the small changes below or should i simply make a new F-2 skin for the new FAF F-16 shape and call it day since the changes are so small?

Or other opinions on what I should do?

Bear in mind I will also have to create a new shadow shape to match the new aircraft shape.

Please advise...

I don't know how much time you are talking about between creating a F2 skin off of the F-16 skin versus taking the F16 skin, modifying to fit and saving as the F2 skin.

for accuracy I'd say modify to fit the F2 skin, but if it's time heavy - go for the clone.

I would skip making the new shape for the F2 - I think it's accurate enough for the game purposes, IMHO.

I wouldent bother with the nose, chines, vert stab or trailing edge of the wing. But the stabilators are fairly noticable and to a lessor extent the larger "Agile Falcon" wing.
Just looking at the photos without comparison, the stabilators are the only thing that catch your attention.

I'm with Kap, CAG - nothing more to notice about, I mean, and hope it would be more easy for you to get done.

Kap's idea probably seems to be the best. The other changes are very slight...
I could care less about the F-2 but thats my own bias which may or may not be useful.

Well the main reason I want it in FAF Korea is due to its main use as an anti-shipping platform and the variety in the skin it offers...

CAG out...

Yea I agree! I like it and I have been busy doing the improvements to teh shape to allow me to completely duplicate it and make major improvements to what I currently have created.

I have completed altering the wings, stabs, vertical tail, and the lower fuselage strakes and now all i have left is to alter the wing roots and expand the skin on the wing tops to the fuselage to allow me to correctly model the skin area...

See image of stage 1 below of altered shape so far...
