I need some help with PSP...

How do you change individual colors thoughout an entire image?

Lets say I want to change white to a light grey. I want only to change the pure white color everywhere in the image, to the light grey color I have selected...

I know this software can indeed do this, I just can seem to find the documentation to really tell me how to do it...

This will help immensely in editing the GUI screens and fixing the cockpits so they dont white out in fog and cloud...

Any help would be welcome...

just sent you a pic of how to do it. Forgot to add that once you choose the "color changer" tool you can vary it's color tolorance in the little submenu that pops up for the tool.

No submenu pops up and only a paintbrush does when I select the tool...

Why?

Could you have possibly of left something else out?

"color changer" changes all the selected colors in the image, that's it's whole purpose, you might need to set your tolerances higher.

Sent you another pic to show you where the pop-up drop down menu is ( right at the top of the page it's even hard to get rid of, comes that way from the install ). Any right click menu is likely for changing tools not for changing tool properties. The drop down menu also lets you change to precise cursors to get rid of those dopey icons like a brush for coloring and a bucket for flood.

Doesnt work...

Doesnt matter if my tolerances are all the way up to 200...

Doesnt matter if I have the precise cursor or not

Popup menu never shows up. I have to manually select the tool box to get it...

And it still only alters interconnected colores within a small area...

Maybe my install is bad or ?

dont know, I've done it dozens of times today on various pics trying to figure out whats wrong but it works fine here every time. It SOUNDS just like your using the flood tool but I know you know the differance so I dont understand what's wrong.

Well thanks for trying...

The recolor worked, but now the image is incompatible with FA and CTDs whenever used...

Even cutting and pasting the new areas causes it to CTD...

Looks like its a complete loss and will require me to manually alter the image...

FA is a HUGE PIECE OF VERY SMELLY CRAP!!!!!!
