|
|
|
Ok so I went out and bought a Saitek evo force feedback stick. Im trying to use its profile editor . Im trying to use its profile editor . Im trying to use its profile editor. Rinse and repeat , so on and so forth. I sure wish My Sidewinder force feedback pro would work with Windows Xp but doesnt. I have the gameport version.
Anyone have some advice or tips or could reccomend a good stick. Enlighten me please.
Ive always used my sidewinder. Its an old war buddy . This was pre Xp . Circa 1997 -2000. The hey day of Fighters Anthology. |

What is the problem with the profile?
You do know that you have to load the profile after you create it, right?

My Saitek Joystick worked ok with the original Profile editor, but it was indeed a pain to install it.
These days I use Dhauzimmer's drivers (3rd party drivers) and it works much better.
My Sidewinder works fine under Windows XP as well, it came with a Gameport to USB adapter. _________________

My Logitech Wingman 3D Digital came with an adapter as well!
Good foresight. _________________

Yep Id create the profile. Save it. Then load it.
Ill keep trying though . Im obviously doing something wrong. If worse comes to worse Ill see if I can get my Sidewinder to work with the game port to usb adaptor I have . If all else fails Ill get a completely different stick. |

Well, I have Logitech (Force Feedback, bah!) and Thrustmaster too.
They work well both, I have to admit, but I wasn't impressed too much by any of them. _________________

( double post fixxed )
What software are you using as the profile editor, the Saitek Gaming Extention or the Saitek Smart Tecnology? SGE worked great for me on WinME but had to use SST on WinXP _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard

Well apparently, I had my N52 speedpad conflicting with the joystick. After some searching around on the internet, Its a know problem with the Cyborg Evo.Has problems with other devices/ game controllers and what not. Sooo with that said ... It works !
Bands didnt even have to be set. |

One more thing ... opposed to Fighters Anthology... When running Forgotten Battles the Saitek Cyborg Evo and Saitek gaming keyboard(usb version) are incompatible. So .... after some research you have to unplug keyboard before starting game. Then plugging it back after game starts. Well thats the country boy way of doing it . Other way around it is to just use a regular PS/2 keyboard
