I was finally able to edit the animated polygons on a shape and do it without altering any of the physical shape or create any instability...

I was working on the Krivak shape, trying to relocate the roatating radar dish when I finally found the segment of the shape that houses the animated segment of skin...

This is an entirely different way to animate the polygons vs say, the windmill, which animates sections of the physical shape itself...

This instead is dealing with an animated skin section only. A 2D item only...

This should now make it possible for me to add rotating radar dishes to radar vehicles ...

We will see what I can come up with in the next few hours... Very Happy

CAG out...

Was able to successfully build the rotating radar dish antenna for the Long Track radar vehicle for SA-6 launch sites...

Here are some screen shots showing the antenna roatation...

Excellent work on getting the radar dish to revolve cag. One thing that always pissed me off about fa was the lack of turning radar. One would think the entire world of fa was composed of phased array radars by the lack of mechanical turning dishes!

Hey CAG, did implementing this involve trigonometry/polar coordinates or anything like that?

No, just off the wall thinking to tap available resources already in the game...

I "borrowed" the antenna from another shape and simply removed the extra structure of that shape that I did not need, and used just this segment, but being able to manipulate its location vertically and horizontally helped out quite a bit!

If you like this just until I post pics of the new twin dish ground radars and the new carrier with its multiple radar dishs! Very Happy
