Patching Procedure for the Aguada's FA EXE Editor for installation of the FA Router Patcher from VNFAWING.com

THIS PATCH IS ONLY FOR FA USERS ON A ROUTER!!!

The Following are the DOWNLOAD for the Patcher itself.

You can RUN the patch installer from the Following URL...

https://vnfawing.com/patches/AG_FA_EXE_Editor.exe

Click on the above link and select RUN as in the image below...

The Patch installer will open another window and give you the option to RUN or not run. Select RUN as in the image below...

Download is now completed and installation will commence...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Following are the INSTALLAION INSTRUCTIONS for the Patcher itself.

This will open the the FA Multiuser Patcher installer that will unzip the files and save them to your hard drive. Select UNZIP as in the image below...

Once the patch installer has completed its installation it will popup a OK button. Click theOK Button as in the image below.

The install procedure is now complete. You should now create a desktop shortcut to the patcher executable in the patcher folder at the address on your hardrive listed below.

C:\AG_FA_EXE_Editor\FA_EXE_Editor.exe

The shorcut will have the following Icon...

Installation is now fully complete and the FA ROUTER PATCHER is now ready to run...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Following is the PATCHING PROCEDUREto run the patcher software to patch your FA.exe file itself.

Double click on the new Icon you have just created in the previous procedure...

The patcher will now open, as shown in the image below...

Step 1 - The instructions for each step are available in the patcher and outlined in each of the images below to correspond to the exact step shown. The patcher will actually build you a new FA.exe file and save your original FA.exe as FA_Orig.exe to give you a backup should you run into any problems with your newly patched FA executable file. Therefore you really make no alterations to your original FA.exe file at all, other then renaming it for backup, and can always revert back to it if you ever have a need to do so.

Now that you have begun the FA.exe patcher you begin at Step 1 (As outlined in yellow in the image below). You MUST obtain your external WAN IP if you do not already know what it is. You can obtain it clicking on either of the tow links below...

http://whatismyip.com or http://myipis.com

Write down your IP and keep it close at hand for later use in the patcher.

Now we move on to Step 2 - (as outlined in yellow in the image below) and navigate to your FA folder where your FA.exe is located. This MUST be the folder for the installation you use when you fly multiplayer online. Generally this is the same location as the basic install. (however some users have various installations and if you fly online from more then 1 install you will have to run this patching procedure on each FA.exe for these other folders, if you do not, then do not concern yourself with the previous sentence.)

Click on the center box on your hard drive address and navigate to your FA folder as shown with a mouse pointer and in red in the image below...

Now all FA.exes contained within your FA Folder will appear in the far right box as shown in the image below.

Step 3 - Click on the FA.exe file to highlight the file, to tell the patching software this is the file you want to patch (As descripbed in Step 2 outlined in yellow below and as shown with a mouse pointer and outlined in red also in the image below). You will now proceed to step 4...

Step 4 - as shown below, is also outlined in yellow and shown with a mouse pointer and outlined in red. Simply click the step 4 button to continue to the next segment of the patcher.

Step 5 - is scanning the FA.exe file into the patcher to allow it to begin the modification process, as oulined in yellow in step 5 in the image below. SImply click th ebuttons shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red in the image below and the patcher will scan the FA.exe.

DO NOT click on any other buttons until the scan has completed in the image below, as outlined in the instruction outlined in yellow for Step 6.

Step 6 - Once the scan has completed and the completed message appears, simply click on the step 6 button as shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red in the image below.

IF THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU HAVE PATCHED YOUR FA.exe with the routher patch, then skip this step and move to Step 7b, farther down the page. The Step 7a below is only for first time patching of the FA.exe file.

Step 7a - as shown in the instructions section in the patcher as oulined in yellow below, if this is your first time patching this specific FA.exe file with the router patcher, then click on the step 7 button, as shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red below. This will install the patch into the FA.exe file for the first time.

Step 7b - as shown with the mouse pointer and oulined in red, is clicking the Multiplayer Router Patch button as shown with teh mouse pointer and oulined in red in the image below...

Step 8 - is entering your external WAN IP (public IP) you obtained in Step 1 and wrote down on the notepad as instructed. Enter the IP numbers into the appropiate boxes as oulined in red in the image below.

Step9 - Now that you have completely entered your external WAN IP (public IP) the Step 9 button will now appear. Click the Step 9 button as shown with the mouse button and outlined in red in the image below.

Step 9 has now completed and the Step 10 button appears as shown below. Step 10 is the final segment of the router patcher. Step 10 contains 4 seperate steps. Step10a, 10b, 10c, and 10d. Move to step 10a as described in the next paragraph below.

Step 10a - Build the new exe as shown in the instructions outlined in yellow in the image below. Click the Step 10 button as shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red.

Step 10b - Wait until the counter finishes and gives you the address count of 00142200 as indiciated in the image below. This means the building of your new FA.exe file, with the multiplayer router fix installed, has completed as shown in the image below.

Step 10c - backs up your original FA.exe file to FA_Orig.exe as described at the top of the page, to allow you to protect your original FA.exe if you ever need to revert back to the original file. As shown with the mouse pointer and red outline in the image below, click the "Rename FA.exe to FA_orig.exe" button.

Step 10d - Now that your FA.exe file is renamed, click the next button, the "FA_Editorbuilt.exe file to FA.exe" to rename the new patched FA.exe to the default FA.exe file name so it will run when you start Fighters Anthology as shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red in the image below.

EXIT - Congradulations!! You have now successfully patched your FA.exe to allow you fly FA from behind a router with any other routered or non routered players (up to FA's limit of 8 players) on the internet!

Click the EXIT button as shown with the mouse pointer and outlined in red in the image below to close the patcher.

Additionally, this may look like alot of work to run the patcher, but it really only takes a few minutes. I just wanted to be certain that the instructions were as detailed as possible.
