I would say none of the above since the Russians gave out medals if you just managed to survive a run to the latrine lolol _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard

Nope, not a Russian aircraft / pilot...
Come on Kap, go along with the poll instead of trying to find a problem with it, its more fun that way. Pick from the availabel choices...

i picked the Me-109, a german fighter, because I figured the Germans had more kills per pilot. _________________

Seems you are not the only person to think so...
But as to whether this is correct or not, only time will tell!

Hmmmm, I wonder who voted for the Ju-87? The most shotdown aircraft of WWII!!
Do they give out decorations for that in the Luftwaffe as well?

I picked the Me-109, too, because of kills per pilot as well. There were so many Me-109 pilots (and later FW-190) who had 200+ kills. I don't know if there were any allied pilots with numbers close to that, but there can't be many (the Luftwaffe didn't have that many planes). Of course kills dont translate to decorations.
And even the Ju-87 is not soooo far fetched. Rudel was a very highly decorated Ju87 pilot and Stuka pilots could have been decorated more highly since that plane was praised exceptionally (more than other, more capable aircraft) by propaganda. _________________

Ohh...
I should have known you would figure this one out, Tank!...
Its not he Me-109, though a good guess... It is indeed the Ju-87 and the Pilot was Max Rudel... He single handedly destroyed over 500 Russian Tanks with his Ju-87, including T-34s and IS-1 Heavy tanks...
He was the most decorated pilot of WWII...
Good Job Tank!
