Since I'm not a European journalist I never believe the Russians who lied about thier involvement in Korea in the first place so Evgeni Pepelyaev is incorect. I voted Joseph M. McConnell.

I have to say I fully agree with you there on the Russian claims Kap...
Especially when you add up all the claims of F-86 kills the Russians say they made, it out numbers the full production of the F-86 at the time it was suppossed to occur...

I vote for J. McConnell. I remember a movie with Alan Ladd in it about McConnell. He worked to get money for flying lessons and was a gunner on a B17 in WWII. The rest is history.

No Pappy, I didnt forget, but the board had been deactivated for 2 weeks, so I am leaving it active to allow more of the visitors to post a vote and opinion!
But if you MUST know...
Well...
This IS one of my trick Polls! 
The highest scoring ace OF the Korean War was Joseph M. McConnell...
However I asked which of those listed pilots was the Highest Scoring Ace IN the Korean War...
And there is only 1 pilot that was the highest scoring Ace from that list, even if you count the Russian claims...
That Pilot is...
Francis S. "Gabby" Gabreski with 28 World War II Kills and 6.5 MiG-15 Kills in the Korea War for a total of 34.5 kills! 
He was the Highest Scoring Ace IN the Korean War from that list...
Gotcha all!! I am the only one that voted for Gabreski, becasue I am the only one twisted enough to think so unconventionally!
I will leave the poll up for a few more weeks to see who else, if any, will vote...

When I was a youngster my mother was a stickler on grammar. She would correct me at any time for any error and drum it into my head!
