Vote for the tracked armored vehicle you believe was the fastest armored vehicle involved in combat after World War II, then post the reasons for your choice!! _________________ CAG Hotshot

Of the ones on the list that I'm familiar with I would have guessed the Abe, but there are some there that I just dont have a clue on. _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard

Well then take a guess!
That is what this is all about, to test not only your knowledge, but your capacity to reason an answer!

CAG
I vote for the M1 Abrams. It has a top speed of sixty mph. It was a joint venture with the Germans and I hope it is faster than their Leopard tank.
But we will see in a month! _________________ Tally Ho! Pappy's In

My first instinct is the Abrams because those thigns Haul azzz...
However, I will, as always, go against my gut and vote for the Leopard cause those Germans make fast stuff, what with all their Bimmers and all that... Plus leopard sounds fast LOL. _________________

Yeah that was my point and why I deselected the Abe.
NOW I'm thinking maybee it was the T-60 ( not on the list ) I mean did you see how FAST those turrets flew when it was hit with an AGM-65?? _________________ FAF/FA-2 FM Wizard

Looks like this poll has pretty much run its course...
And its 30 days anyway, annnnnnddddd it looks like I am going to give the answer without a prompting from Pappy for a change!
So the answer is...
The M-18 Hellcat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes this WWII designed Tank Destroyer had a issued top speed of 52MPH!!
That is faster then any of the other vehicles on the list, even the M1 Abrams and the Leopard II...
The M-18 was used in combat after WWII in several battles in South and Central America and also again in the former Yugoslavia...
Looks like I just about stumped everyone on this poll!
Those of you that voted right really knew your stuff!
