Your choices are...
1. Belgium FN FAL
2. German MP44
3. Russian AK47
4. Spanish Cetme
5. United States M14
6. United States M16
Make your choice and then post your opinion on why you think it was the first full automatic assault rifle!!
Also make sure you scroll up and submit your vote in the poll at the top of the page, as some of you forget to actually place your vote!

CAG
What is your defination of fully automatic? Semi auto and automatic both on the rifle? Or just auto? I have learned on these polls to ask questions from Kaptor.

Fully automatic means capable of full automatic fire (such as a machinegun does)... _________________ CAG Hotshot

I preferred the MP44 instead, also because in some way I'm suspecting that Russians could have copied that too, as they used to during all the Cold war age for a lot of things as well. _________________

The MP44 was designed by the Germans...
The AK-47 (Avtomat Kalashnikova model 1947) was developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov...
The similiarities are only skin deep... _________________ CAG Hotshot

CAG
I vote for the M14. I might be wrong, but I want to vote for our team's rifle. It has been around for several decades and kill alot of Commies. It is still in use with the Navy. My son carries one on security patrol on his ship.
Our Oklahoma state game wardens now also carry them. They purchased them surplus from DOD for under $100.00 a piece. What a buy!

Thanks. I'd suspect that, but isn't strange the same how much they resembled to each other? _________________
