Post subject: I need a volunteer(s) to update the FATK help files to XP
|

I need a volunteer or volunteers that will update the win98 compatible FATK help files to XP compatability OR to transcribe all these help files into word files...
Anyone out there willing to do this work?
Its important for finalizing some of the FA Futures items for the release...

I confess to not even knowing what FATK files are.
Got any examples so I can take a look and see if I can do it? |

FATK is the FA ToolKit. Its help file was in the HLP format, which throws errors if you attempt to open it in XP.
A long time ago, I don't remember when, I had converted the FATK HLP file to CHM. My plan was to fix it up but, like everything in life, I got sidetracked. I still don't have the time to mess with it, but I'd gladly pass along what work I have done if someone else wants to complete the task. The new CHM file is 3.7mb. I zipped up the entire folder (8.2mb) since part of the conversion process made each page an individual html file. |

Ali, on the Zephyrnet Forums, has pointed out a simple fix for these files...
If you created a desktop link to the FATK Help files on your desktop and run them independant of the toolkit, they work perfectly...
Thus this isnt as a big a problem as I thought it was, and I was able to access the FATK Help Files to build a much more realeastic SA-6 SAM system...

Duke was able to help me test all the test libs online tonight, so we are ok right now, I will need further help later on for more lib testing...
